COOL COUNTRY IRIS    $5,500 IDHA Reg 2YO F1 Black Tobiano Drum Filly

Dam: Viewfield Violet App Shire 16.2 (Ingleside Dancer x Draft Rosie)

Sire: Castellan Imp Gypsy Cob 14.2

Iris is a beautiful looking filly, with lots of deep black colour, and one blue eye. She has gorgeous luxurious masses of silky feather, and a thick mane and tail. She is well put together with correct conformation, an no faults. We purchased Iris earlier this year, with her dam, for drum breeding, and are only selling Iris due to her expected mature height, being less than what we would like. Iris's price reflects her level of training and handling, NOT her quality. Iris is available to an experienced horse home, due only to the fact she is young, smart, fast on her feet, and is not suited to a novice handler.

A very independant young filly, that fits into the herd very well, she can hold her own, with even very dominant mares. Iris has a bold and confident character. Iris has taken to training very well, she is willing and tries hard, but is still learning the basics. We have attended 2 ground work clinic in the last 12 months, where she did very well, proving herself a quick learner and very capable in new situations.

Iris is easy to catch and halter, good to worm, great to pick up feet. Leading and float loading very well. OK to wash, but still gaining confidence with the hose. Ok to tie up, but still learning where the end of the rope is, great to rug, and coming off pressure really nicely.

Iris LOVES to move, she has an athletic build, loves to jump and very nice action, once you work with her, and she gets a bond with you, she will do anything for you, she will be a lovely medium size heavy horse under saddle when bigger, and will suit a skilled rider, that wants a heavy that can move well.  Please enjoy our pictures below of Iris, taken over the last year.

At a recent clinic, Iris gained a lot of confidence, and got a really good start in more complicated groundwork

I really love this picture, she has so much impulsion and energy, and really enjoyed jumping!
