Dam: Tarmac Dawn Rose CCHS (Alanbrae Rose x Valmont Pegasus) 16.1hh
Sire: Mountain Park Apollo IDHA(Arcadian TInkerbell F1 Drum x Geordie GC) 15hh TTEeAa
Born 13/7/15 We are proud to offer Antheia for sale, she is a lovely step forward for Drums in Australia, with a fabulous soft temperament, and the 3rd generation of horse born on our farm.
Being a lower percentage F2, with 32.5% Gypsy (Apollo, from Geordie & Cahirmee) and 67.5% Clydesdale her percentages are a wonderful opportunity for an astute breeder, she combines some excellent Gypsy cobs, with true Clydesdale working lines, both her mother and grandmother and genuine sensible, and sound ridden and driven horses here on our farm. Antheia's Sire Mountain Park Apollo, is a lovely well marked, boy, with lots of hair and feather, and a sweet nature.
Antheia has extremely desirable markings, with lovely 50/50 bright bay colouring, and well marked face, no white eyes or muzzle, she has 2 lovely dark brown eyes. Perfect for our Aussie climate :) She has thick luxurious feather and a double mane.
Antheia has a naturally soft, and sensitive nature, she bonds extremely well and closely to people, she particularly loves our young children, and will spend hours getting scratches and being groomed. Antheia has been raised with exposure to everything, other farm animals, machinery, a large herd of mares and youngsters, and all the usual goings on, she is a sensible and sane horse, used to being washed, feet picked up, groomed, wormed, haltered and led, she has had the basic handling for someone to easily go on with.
Antheia will be a lovely easy size for riding and harness when she is mature, we expect her to mature around 15.2 ish
Antheia is easy to catch, lead, loads well and travels beautifully, she loves a bath, is good to trim her feet, and comes pressure really nicely. Antheia is a lovely horse for NSW/QLD climate, being totally non itchy and a good doer. Anetheia is nicely coming out of the foal stage, and looking like a solid horse already, she has lost a lot of the winter coat, and we are impressed at how she is maturing.
Pictures recently below, taken October 2016
The first few days exploring her world, and working out those legs !
Having fun with the children at a couple of weeks old, she adores pats and scratches, and is SO inquisitive!
Back to work for Dawn, at about 1 month old, Antheia got used to her Dawn working very quickly
Enjoying a group washing session !such a curious filly, she was a great help with everyone else, and very happy to have a scrub when it was her turn! Before and after bath photos, she loves rolling in the muddy dam, but she scrubs up beautifully ! Pics at 3 months old, maturing into a lovely solid filly.
A few photos of Antheias Sire and Dam. I can not speak highly enough of Dawn, she is a sensible, level horse, that is an absolute pleasure to ride, my mother, and young son also ride her, and long rein her, she really does have an exceptional temperament, that she appears to have passed on to Antheia which makes us extremely happy ! Apollo is a rare find for Drum breeding in Australia and is a magnificent boy, lovely action and gorgeous colouring !
